50 cL can. Apple cider aroma. Brassy gold color with a white head that ringed immediately. Thin to medium bodied, with mild, nearly creamy, carbonation. The taste is of apple juice that has been cooked or pasteurized, with some apple skin bitter/sour for companionship. It starts a bit sweet, shifts to sour, and the mouth is left with apple to the rear and astringency elsewhere. Drinkable stuff.

Apple, baby food, and yeast aroma. Clear golden color. Dry apple flavor, but not as much as I expected. Also a bit like a perry. Watery finish.

(Bottle 27,5 cl) Clear, very pale golden with a tiny, white head. Discreet apple aroma. Fairly light and watery body, very dry with a light acidity. OK as such, just not very interesting.

Long awaited, not sold in Pennsylvania. I had to make a road trip to get this stuff. Very nice 17 oz can from England. Thanks Nuts. The pour is clear ubiquitous pale yellow american beer color. However, thereโ€™s a lot of rolling carbonation when I pour it into the glass. Many streams of carbonation are constantly rising from within the brew, very nice to look at. This makes it different than your typical beer aesthetics. A very nice ring for a head exits between the center of the brew and the edge of the glass. It is white and foamy, I almost want to touch it and roll the foam between my fingers. The aroma of this is simply apply lovely but it does have a smell that is somewhat other than pure apples, as if alcohol was added after fermentation. The taste of this is a little drier than I am used to for a cider, not that sweet. I should have expected that because it says it is dry right on the label. It does seem to be more alky than Iโ€™m used to with ciders. The alky content in this brew is not well hidden. Has a very nice feel that is quite tingly and delectable. Iโ€™ve tasted sweeter ciders but this being a little drier allows me to appreciate something that is not just a fruit drink. The hardness of the alky flavor is quite apparent continuously as you drink it. Undoubtedly better than Hornsby and K-Cider. This is a fun and easy to drink brew. Very easy to enjoy and repeatable. Finish is slightly alky dry and is apparent for a few moments after the last drink. Not as good as Fly Creek Original Hard Cider, buts pretty darn good compared to all the fru-fru-fruity sweet domestic ciders of the USA. .

On tap. Yellow-orange with a small white head. Mashed apples, yeast and a citric sourness in the aroma. The flavor is fruity, with apples dominating, along with yeast and cellar. Thin to medium body. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. 060225

Bottle. Clear, golden pour with a little rim of bubbles. Some barnyard notes in the aroma, but mostly apples. Some yeasty hints. Medium body, quite dry, with flavors of apples and some yeasty notes. A quenching one, quite tasteful but far from interesting. 110218

The Crown, Charlton-on-Otmoor, Oxon, 04-08-06. Oh no new tennants come in and the new beer stocks have yet to arrive leaving me to choose between Guiness, Strongbow, and Stella amongst others. Yellow very fizzy, refreshing for a bit but quickly tired of it and struggled to finish my pint, not great at all.
