Pale yellow colour, a lot of carbonation. Very refreshing cider. Fruity aroma with sugar. Bit thin maybe but not that bad.

Backlog. Pours amber. Nose and taste of apple, light sugar and touch of cinnamon. Lighter bodied. Okay.

Can / pint consumed constantly throughout my entire 20s. I shudder to think how much of this stuff has passed my lips. To me, Strongbow is the taste of train journeys to Wolverhampton & Birmingham to see bands; it’s the taste of standing in a muddy field at festivals with a smuggled can in my hand standing in awe at the stage; it’s the taste of late nights watching shitty TV and listening to great music with mates; it’s train journeys of disappointment coming back from away matches; it’s the taste of lying on my back in beer gardens slowly letting the sun & cider send me into a deep sleep. Whether it’s good or not is irrelevant at this point.. like a perfume that suddenly reminds you how it felt to be a teenager. For that reason, despite how hideous it tastes alongside real cider, I’ll always have a soft spot for this stuff.

I had this over a decade ago, first on tap with a slice of apple in Brighton(my first draft cider) which was a really deep gold pour with a bitting apple flavor. I then had it in cans while in the UK which wasn’t quite as nice. I think on draft it’s a 3 but in cans a 2.5 this rating’s for the draft version.

Poured a golden, clear, bubbly color with out a head at all. Aroma was crisp, green apples with some light sweetness. Flavor was light apple, but a bit sweet - a bit more dry would be best.

One of the adages from the "Eat This Not That!" folks is that if a packaged food has ingredients you can buy yourself, you should eat it. So what about a "hard cider" with ingredients including "Glucose Syrup" and "Fructose/Glucose Syrup." It comes to not much of a much.Smell is mere alcohol and a faint whiff of apple juice. Artificially colored as well. Taste is just fizz. No real apple character or tartness. Just comes across like an unflavored wine cooler. Gloppy backing of processed sugars. Not even willing to cook with this.
