A dark brown stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK. In mouth, a nice sweet chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light fruity esters, nice and smooth. On tap at Village Bottle Shop.

From tap. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty, vague smoked. Bitter, roasted, dark malty and breadish. Bitter. Dry and roasted. Dry and roasted far finish.

Draft. A black beer with a dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, bread, and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and bread, leading to a bitter finish.

Draught @ Fermentoren, Aarhus. Pours black with a light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, caramel, dark chocolate. Flavor is sweet, malt, light caramel, chocolate, cocoa. Medium body, average to lively carbonation, light sweet finish. 010916

On tap at the brewery. It pours a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma is chocolaty and sweet with lots of coffee. The flavor has a lot of roasted malt with ints of smoke. Light bodied and a tad on the fizzy side. A pretty good representation of the style.

Tap@Mondo Tap Room, London - black pour with tiny off white head. Sweet and roasted malty aroma and taste, some milky cocoa, caramel, burnt sugar, sweet roasted into the finish. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at Bailey's, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out notes of lactose and dry cocoa. Flavour is very dry and lifeless, with dry bitter cocoa powder and a little lactose. Not a convincing attempt at the style. Meh.
