This fresh fruity sparkling medium medium dry organic cider is made from one variety of cider apple first discovered a century ago at pethyre farm Monmouth. Because of its delicious flavour farmer George break well propagated the seedling and it was later planted in many herefordshire orchards. In early September when the break wells seedling apples are ripening, the air is full of their wonderful intense perfume.

500ml bottle from CyderStore online. Pours a golden colour, sparkling with a short-lived white foam head. Nose is fruity, apple, rubber, muck, barnyard. Flavour is tangy, apple, fruity, bittersweet, with some barnyard, rubber, hay and earthy tannins. Oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, slightly spritzy carbonation, tart very drying tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.

500ml bottle from Les Crepes de Sophie, Shrewsbury. Particularly dry and complex taste here yet possesses a fruitiness that really marks this out from the pack. Has the kind of dryness that relentlessly sucks your tongue while the fruity side to its character diverts your attention to a more serene landscape. Very interesting cider. Thankyou Dunkertons.
