Handpull cask at the King's Head, Leicester. 3.4%. Mid-gold with the tiniest of haze as it settles. Small off-white head. Suggestions of grapefruit, tangerine, passionfruit and pineapple in the scent. Taste starts a little sweet with floral and tropical fruit notes, but turns quite bitter quite quickly. Notes of honey and more tropical fruit in the finish. It feels a trifle artificial but otherwise good.

Half pint from the cask at the Kings Arms, Cartmel. Pours clear golden with a white head. Aromas & tastes of marmelade, citrus, hints of tea, biscuit & hops. Medium body. Light bitter finish. Enjoyable

Cask at Telford’s Warehouse, Chester (at 3.4%). Pours a pale straw with a small almost white head and good lacing. The aroma is yeasty with citrus and a hint of floral hops. In the mouth it starts off sweet and tangy before rapidly become quite bitter with citrus and grapefruit flavours. Later on floral hops come through as well, plus a hint of spice Finish is dry and quite sticky. It’s OK, but there isn’t really much to it.

Bottle (from Ales by Mail). Golden colour with a small white foamy head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is floral, some mild herbal, earthy and a bit grainy tones. Flavour is citrus, some floral tones, biscuity and bready malts and some mild herbs in the finish. Easy going and easy to drink.

Cask at the Craven Arms, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear golden colour with an everlasting frothy white head. The aroma is grainy malt, tropical citrus fruits. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a crisp, fresh, yeasty, citrus, woody hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Impressive and very sessionable.

330ml bottle with the ABV now at 3.5%. Clear gold, small white head, nice carbonation. Aroma is malts, lemon, some tangerine, very clean. Taste is biscuit malts, citrus, again quite clean. Light bodied but refreshing. I think the 4% version would be better though, it lacks a little bite.

33cl bottle from Beer52. Very thin white head. Hazy golden pour. Light bitterness. Not bad for the low abv.
