Many thanks for this Ale to dantomlinson.

Cask at Tapas Bar, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of citrusy hop. Taste is biscuity malt, with citrusy hop bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry metallic bitter finish. Quite OK

Cask at the Agricultural Hotel, Penrith. Sweet, resinous and surprisingly full-bodied for the body. Lemon, clementine and a touch of peach. Just enough fresh grassy drying bitterness in the finish to balance it. In my previous rate I was bemoaning the paucity of session bitters in UK pubs these days; maybe if more of the golden ales that have taken over were as good as this one I wouldn't miss bitters so much.

Thin white head quickly left a collar on a translucent pale golden, finely carbonated body. Zesty aroma with peach & pith. Medium bodied, sharp on the tongue with an abrupt clean back. Peach, bitter hops, grass, lemon & pithy tastes.
