Taster. Appearance: dark brown with beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, inky. Taste: along the same lines, very bitter, but eith fruity and chocolate notes. Overall: good RIS.

Pretty good pint, not quite what I expected for a 25th anniversary beer but surprisingly easy-sippin' for a 12% brute. More extravagant in ABV than any other aspect, but the dark chocolate, molasses, black cherry, and espresso notes are nice, and the modest booziness in the fade gives the pint an enjoyable peppery kick without growing overly warm. Could use a little more depth, a little more bitter blackness on the back end, but I don't seem to be pushing the glass away.

12 ounce bottle from Arrow Wine Kettering. Black, large foamy brown head, good retention. Aroma of roast, molasses, caramel. Taste is roast, nuts, molasses, caramel, vanilla, nougat. Medium bodied, smooth, low carb. For 12.1% the booze is exceptionally well hidden. Nice beer.
0,3 litre Bottle from Total Wine and Spirits, Las Vegas, Nv. Black with light brown head. Roasted malts, coffee, bourbon.

Pour is a thick black with no head at all. Aroma is a big char and burnt caramel malt. Flavor is a full mouthfeel with roasted nuts, almost burnt malt with some bitterness and a nice roast left on the tongue. No alcohol is felt but this does leave a nice thick malt sludge on the tongue as this goes down. Decent beer and plenty of flavor.
