355ml can. Pours a clear orange with a medium, foamy, long lasting, ecru head that laces. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, orange, mango and pine. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, toffee, orange, grapefruit peel, apricot, mango, pine needles, floral hops and alcohol in a dry, bitter grass finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad, but could use more hop punch.

I do not recall when or where I obtained the 12 oz bottle I am trying now. No matter, here we go. I spot Double IPA and 9% on the label, good start. Opened and poured into my ABGB tulip glass we see a semi-clear, gold-yellow body with a skim of white foam. The smell is a bit different. Ripe yellow fruit with a bit of grassiness. Hope the taste improves on that. It shows a bit better, apricot tinged hops, some yeastiness from somewhere. Can’t get very excited.

Pour is a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is a pine hop with a strong caramel malt backbone. Flavor is pretty much all malt with very little hop. Everything I hate with some IPA’s can be found in this beer. Way too heavy malt bill. Hops that have faded or can’t stand up to the malt. The best by date on the bottom of the can is 10/27/17, there is no way that can be correct. This tastes poor in the first week of August in the middle of October this could actually be worse? The alcohol is hidden well, that’s all the good I can say about this.
