Cologne-style Kölsch || 4.5% || Willi Becher
Taste: Bread, Fruit, Biscuit
Notes: Medium in body with a soft mouthfeel and a straw yellow or pale gold color, Kölsch has a spicy, herbal Noble hop bitterness that is medium to slightly assertive—less than a Pilsner, but not by much. A somewhat fruity or vinous (grape-y from malts) quality and a crisp, dryish finish make up the rest of the flavor profile.

Reviewed from notes.
Can to stange glass.
Appearance: clear yellow color with light carb seen rising to fill a two finger white foamy head which ended up trailing off and left a little bit of lace
Aroma: fruity estery tones, biscuits, earthy to floral qualities, sly spicy hop tones
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a malty sweet fruity estery character and a subtle spicy underneath; finishes crisp slightly dry malty sweet
Texture: medium bodied, sessionable, very smooth along the tongue
Overall: nice Kolsch I would have again.

One Stop advent calendar 2/24. Quite a full bodied malty kölsch, clean, crisp, and appropriately sweet. Classic.

Taster pour from a can at The Beer Store, Salem. Fairly clear yellow with big frothy head. Aroma and taste have mild fruitiness, mild yeastiness. Clean, crisp mouthfeel. Definitely a beer to have when having more than one.

Tap at the Brighton pub. Bright golden color, clear. Clean bready malt nose, light hops, quite fruity. Fruity and grain flavor, a touch sweet. Light and a bit soft. Decent but my least favorite of the night.

5 oz. draft. Mostly clear yellow with a thin white head that vanished fast. Mild crackery pilsner malts with bit of earthy floral hops and light honey. Pretty clean. Overall, as it should be.

Bunch of cans over weekend ending on Halloween while watching monster movie. Light clear gold colored and smallish white head. Nose is grass and subtle fruit. Tastes of grass, lemon, gooseberry, malt, and herbs. All subdued for the style of course. But pleasant and crushable

Brighton draught, 7/12/22. Clear, beeswax-golden with a small, white head showing moderate retention. Strong maltiness in the nose with low yeast character, a touch of fruit and light mineral, with honey and white bread aside fresh, herbal hops. Clean, no alcohol noted. Very malty example of the style, yet still shows ample attenuation and moderate hop bitterness to balance. Lemon, fresh herbs, plentiful honey and light mineral give a great example of the style. Lots of flavor for its size. Love the maltiness.

Panda at home, thanks to the Wingman, 10/07/21. Clear golden with a just off white cap that veers edgeward. Nose is pale malts, grains, bread dough, biscuit crumbs, fruit esters. Taste comprises bready and pale malts, crackers, grains, biscuit, light herb, caramel, hedgerow. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Solid flavoursome Kolsch.
