Bottle 50 cl. Pours a clear golden with a rough off-white head. A little citrusy hops - the British way. Light body, dry malt and fruit with an almost astringent citrusy driness. Quite bitter as well. 090710

Bottled. A golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of elderflowers and hops, as well as lighter notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of elderflowers, hops, and malt, leading to a bitter finish. Refreshing and very summery.

500ml bottle. Not much on the nose, some grass and citrus. The beer is a lovely golden colour but is put off by the off-white/grey head. Some caramel to start on the taste and with a pleasent medium bitter finish. Medium body, would benefit from more carbonation. Aftertaste is bitter and a bit tinny. This would be a great bbq beer. Probably helps that I’m drinking it in this heat!

50cl bottle from Morrisons. Pale gold in colour with a ring of white head; piney, resinous aroma; clean, sharp hoppy taste with some citrus and honeyed sweetness; and a dry bitter finish. A good attempt at bottling this style.

Cask, Lincolnshire Poacher, Nottingham. Pallid yellowy gold colour. Some nice citrus character in the aroma and flavour which had some restrained grassy hop lurking. Certainly above average and pretty tasty for its strength. Certainly popular with the locals.

Bottle that I picked up somewhere? Actually I think it may have been Bellingers Jet Garage, Grove, nr Wantage, Oxon. Pours light yellow with a white head. The aroma is a tiny bit stale and dare I say it maybe even a touch of vinegar which was worrying though on first taste It was apparent that the beer wasn’t infected. Taste was initially boiled sweets, some soft and safe malty flavours and an easy going bitterness. The crispness and hops present in the cask version are not showing at all here. Glad that the previous rater has had a good un’ and wonder whether my bottle may have been a little old? A4 A4 F5 P3 OV10 2.5
