Bottle from Morrisons. Deep brown in colour, with a slight, beige head. Sweet, confected aroma of floral hops and plum jam. Flavour had some chocolate, toasty malts and jarring, sweet, fruit, before a dryish finish. All a bit forced for me, and not a beer I would drink again.

500ml bottle: BB 7th Sep 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale badged glass tankard at home on 18th Oct 2017 during a dark beer rating session. Ruby look to the dark body, tanned topping. Victoria Plum nose and taste, they haven't lied about plums that's for sure. I am drinking this expecting plum stones to appear on the surface, or be gathering on the base of the glass, such is the flavour and aroma of the said fruit within the brew. Different, interesting and pleasant.

Bottle from Morrisons Folkestone drunk on a train. Big plum chocolate aroma. A little chalky on the fruit. I must admit i dont like it. It settles down a little but i am not a fan of the fruit and the rest of the beer cant make up for it. Not great.

Cask @ The Dove Street Inn, Ipswich. Pours very dark brown with a minor offwhite head. Aroma of sweet malt, vanilla, dark sugar, sweet plums. Flavor is sweet, malty, sugar, vanilla, wood, plums. Thin to medium body, soft carbonation, sweet finish. Strange. 15+217

Gravity cask at the Draymanโs Son, Ely. Purplish brown, translucent. Plummy perfumey aroma, like Japanese plum wine, with hints of dark chocolate. Mega-sweet fruity taste. Itโs nice in its way but has a tinge of plasticky artifice. Some hop bitterness in the long imbalanced finish. Thin body. Passable but not my favourite St Peters effort.
