Crisp and aromatic, this boldly-hopped American ale balances notes of citrus and tea-like earthiness from American hops with a subtle German malt base.

12oz bottle pours out golden topped with a white head. Nose is citrus hops forward a little floral and bread malts. Taste is more of the nice orange grapefruit citrus hops and a light malty end.

Can at home in Beer Hawk advent calendar. Very American with the shouty hops and sweetness and although pleasant enough the abv is too strong for it to be sessionable.

Bottle, slightly over BB. Deep amber, low head. Light resinny aroma, honey, oldschool. Crystal malt sweet base, light paper/oxidized. grassy, light cheesy, resinny. Ok despite its age.

Pours amber from the bottle and leaves a frothy white crown. Aroma is mild: a bit of citrus, a touch butterscotch, not much else. Taste is mildly bitter, dry, lightly sweet undertone in the finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. All in all, a decent ale for casual consumption. Mild mannered, inoffensive, okay.
