Clear golden color with a fine thick white head. Nice lacing! Citric, mild pine and mild fruity aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation. Ok and fresh balance between sweetness and bitterness. Citric, mild pine, mild fruity and a fine malty back in the flavor. Nice and tasty session able ale. Fra better than the bottled version.

Cask @ The Baum, Rochdale. Golden-blonde with a small head. Light and refreshing enough in the palate with a dry hoppy character. There’s some sweetness in its nose.

Cask at the Camden eye. Aroma is fairly nice nelson sauvin like hop, malts, little tropical fruits. Clear golden coloured pour with a lasting creamy white head. Flavour is grainy, pale grains, little creamy, tropical fruits, nelson sauvin. Palate is a little creamy, lowish carbonation. Drinks pretty good.

On cask at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - lemon and zest. Taste - lemon and grapefruit, plus associated zest and pithy notes. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good scooper!

Cask, half pint at the Bag o’ Nails, London Victoria. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Citrussy aroma, also tropical fruits. Smooth flavour but not tasteless, decent hops with notes of citrus and tropical fruits, esp. lychee.

Cask at the Retreat, Reading. Gold with a thin white head. Obvious lemon up front with light caramel behind. Some sharpness from the lemon with a mild bitterness to finish. Ok beer, but certainly nowhere near as good as the normal Hobgoblin; one wonders if Wychwood may actually damage the strong Hobgoblin brand by bringing out inferior beers under it.
