Pours black, no head. Scent is mild chocolate, coconut isn't outspoken but works well and blends in with the basebeer. Taste is smooth, boubon sweetness. Tad spicy from the rye, less boozy than V1. Works way better in the balance. Milder on the booze as well. Ends medium sweet (only) , not as burning. Way prefer this version, to my surprise actually

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fudge notes with some strong bourbon notes and some vanilla notes are also noticeable. Taste is a mix of fuge notes with some residual sugar notes offset by woody bourbon notes with some vanilla notes and vanilla. Body is thick with good carbonation and some warming alcohol notes. Solid pastry stout with some dominant bourbon notes.

Poured still, no carb no surprise, but maybe cause I drank it the same day I bought it it had great flavor, plenty of vanilla and coconut, was a smooth booze train.

Keg at Beatnikz Republic, MCR, 21/02/20. Black with a well presented dirty tan head. Nose is big in bourbon, ripe old dark fruits, brown sugar melt, toffee fudge, chocolate sauce. Taste comprises decadent chocolate, coconut shavings, Demerara sugar, vanilla, dark fruit rinds. Full bodied, oily feel, balanced warming boost coated in bourbon. Top Top draw BA impy.

Keg at the beatnik Republic taproom. A jet black coloured pour with a dark tan head. Aroma is big bourbon oak, vanilla choc, boozy fruit cake, raspberry. Flavour is composed of medium sweet hot solvent alcohol choc, waxy, oak, vanilla, marzipan.. Palate is medium sweet, oily, velvety,. Super rich.

Tap @ Beatnikz, Manchester. Pours Black with a creamy beige head. Super slick, smooth and oily with intense Wood, coffee and vanilla dominating. Very handsome and tasty. Good roast and plenty of beer in this one. Great
