Black, ruby edges, thin tan head, some lacing
Aroma of dark malts, soft dark toffee, hint of sweet dark chocolate, soft savoury note
Taste of dark malts, soft dark chocolate, dark toffee, touch of cereal, very mellow roast, good flavour
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, soft sweet, good texture. Finish has some more roast, dark chocolate
Overall - This will work really well on cask. Not tried the special 6.5% original version, but this is a nice stout, quite sweet, no burnt roast
