Our ideal IPA wasn’t on the menu, so we made it. Resisting piling up a variety of hops like toppings on a burger, we held the pickles and did things our way. Sandwiching together light malts, clean Cali ale yeast and early harvest Simcoe hops. Just what the brewers ordered.

330ml can from Waitrose in Jersey. Pours dark hazy orange with a white head. Aromas & tastes of grapefruits, apricot, lemon & grain malt. Moderate to medium body. Dry moderate bitter finish. Enjoyable

330ml can from Sainsburys. Pours a cloudy gold with a small white head, nice lasting top with lacing. Aroma of citrus, grapefruit, some earthy green herbs. Taste is grapefruit, orange, some citrus zest, soft grainy malts, dry tangy finish with a modest bitterness. Light to medium bodied. Average craft IPA and certainly not a top quartile one as is currently showing.

On tap at Camden Beer Hall, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma is clean, with a solid piney hop character and a thin biscuity malt base. Flavour is crisp, with plenty of piney hops and a crisp biscuity malt base. Piney and low sweetness on the finish. Good stuff.

1/3 pint, draught at Camden Beer Hall and Brewery. Tiny white head, misty golden body, spotty lacing. Tropical-citrus nose, promising. Hop fruity flavours of grapefruit and orange added by a touch of biscuit. Mid-dry fruity bitterness to the ending. Like it. (Kentish Town, London, 02.10.2023).

På Camden Beer Hall. Varm stråfarget. Filmskum. Teppelacing. Uklar. God klementinaroma. Smaken mango & sitrusfrukt. Lett tørr bitter avslutning.
