Now known only as the Koele Kikker. It was originally brewed with the owner of Pardoen. 330ml bottle at Pardoen. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is toffee caramel, light fruity hops. The flavour is moderate bitter and sweet, with a smooth, toffee, earthy, hop bitter palate and a lingering floral hop bitter finish. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

GBBF Day 2. Keg. Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Bready pale malts. Floral hops, some mild citrus. Trace of funk - almost not there. Floral citrus on the fairly dry finish. Amusing if a bit dry.

Sampled from tap at Leiden Winterbier Festival. Hazy orange golden with thin white head. Sweet malts, barley and grassy notes, light floral, hop pellets, light fruity and some resiny caramel notes. Bottle at home. Dark slight hazy amber with huge fluffy off white head. Very lively beer! Quite some caramel, light booze up front, flowers, some old dead leaves, flowers that were too long in the water, light mineral, coriander stems, bitter grass. Medium sweet and quite bitter. A bit over medium bodied with quite some carbonation though it as lively as the initial pour. It’s certainly different, but not really my thing.
