On tap at BAR am Funkeneck Freiburg. Pale golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, citrusy and light herbal nose. Sweet malty, fruity, citrusy and floral with bitterish sweet finish. So so.

330 ml bottle. Cloudy dark orange, big stable foamy head. Orange marmalade, pine, lemon, grassy herbal hops, some caramel, peppery notes. Herbal hoppy bitterness, slightly sweet. Full bodied, oily texture, lively carbonated, dry hoppy bittersweet finish. Really good classic IPA.

Bottle from Geers. Clear golden, stable, thick, frothy, white head. Aroma of pineapple, grapefruit peel, mandarin, lime, orange zest, white grape. Taste has sweet-sour mandarin, orange, lime, white grape against a bready-yeasty backbone, bitter grapefruit peel mixing with spices. Floral-grassy hoppy finish, quite crispy bitter & still zesty. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Bitter zesty Ale, quite elegant.

Bottle. Malty, dank and fruity nose, aromatic and flowery. Nice citrus taste. Really a great balance of remnant sugar and flavorful bitterness. This is excellent!

On tap at Mon Petit Cafe, pours a hazy orange amber with a large white head. Nose is extremely juicy, with intense tropical fruits, almost a trace of diacetyl, sugary notes, and resinous hops - this doesn't smell like a typical IPA. Flavour is sweet and chewy, with lots of candied sugar, tropical fruits, resinous hops, and caramel. Very fruity, very sweet (in a candy-like way), while the hops take a backseat role. There must be diacetyl in here. Fun beer and certainly creative, but not exactly easy drinking or what I look for in an IPA.

On tap at Craft Beer Corner, Cologne, Germany. A hazy dark golden coloured pour with a huge white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, pine on the nose. Tastes similar, hoppy, citrus, pine, some tropical fruit. Decent enough German IPA.

Bottle @ BAR am Funkeneck, Freiburg im Breisgau. Pours hazy dark straw with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops and citrus, with notes of yeast and malt. Bitter flavour of hops and grass, with touches of citrus and euit and sweetish notes of malt and yeast. Bitter and estery aftertaste with malty touches. Well-balanced, satiating and very nice.
