Brewed with fresh pineapple juice and fragrant Denali hops, our Pineapple Milkshake IPA is a big-hitting juice bomb with a huge fruity aroma and a delicious spiky bitterness. We’ve added lactose in the boil here to offer a smooth, creamy texture as well as adding an extra layer of sweetness. As well as the sweetness and extra mouthfeel, the lactose provides a very subtle hint of vanilla which blends beautifully with the pineapple to leave a perfectly balanced pint with layers of flavour and texture.

This punchy IPA was originally brewed as part of our 5 Barrel Project.

Pours a pale gold with a frothy white head, has an aroma of tropical fruits and candy sugar - the initial taste is unmistakably pineapple, with a heap of sweetness. It's close to being pineapple cubes in a pale ale, almost cloying, but just about manages to stay safe, with a hint of hop bitterness to mellow things out a tiny bit, along with a relatively smooth mouthfeel, and a sweet aftertaste.

300ml can at home. Pours a clear amber gold, thin off white head. Nose is candy sugar-like pineapple and tropical fruit drink. Taste is the same, like something from my childhood, Hi-C, or a juice box, combined with a beer.

Can that Jim shared - cheers! Deep gold with a thin white head. They're not kidding - up front this smells and tastes like a pineapple milkshake. Tinned pineapple, vanilla, a bit of coconut milk. Later on there's a bit of spice, and just enough underlying bitterness to stop it being sickly. An interesting brew, and one that I quite enjoyed. I'm not normally a fan of this brewery, but this beer was fun.

Can from Waitrose. Appearance - gentle bubbles, golden and decent lacing. Nose - pungent apricot rather than pineapple. Taste - tonnes of coconut and apricot again. Palate - tangy and creamy in texture. Close to medium bodied. Dry-ish finish. Overall - didn't expect so much apricot and coconut.

Can shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of apricot and sweaty socks. Definitely something cheesy going on. Hint of pineapple. Taste is light sweet, coconut, better than the nose, more apricot.

Clear blond colour with thin head. Aroma and flavour have plenty of pineapple and also peach and mango. Fairly sweet but ok for one.

Can. Nose is vanilla sweets, synthetic vanilla, pineapple sweets, very artificial. Taste is vanilla flavouring, vanilla sweets, painfully thin pineapple, light malt. Despicable: it'sworst beer I've had in years and a complete drain pour. Everyone involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Can. Morrison’s. Mostly clear gold. Skim of foam. Nose has buttery grain (here we go). Some off fruit. A bit milky. Taste is unbalanced bittersweet. Oily mouthfeel. Fine carbonation. Nasty bitterness to finish. Bad.
