Gruut White beer is very aromatic with a fragant fruity smell and a slightly herbaceous sharpness. The body is light, but soft. Thanks to the spices, the flavors are ‘round’, very fine and complex. The first impression is a spicy dryness, but there is also a slight, creamy sweetness underlying.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Aroma is sweetish wheat malt, spicy yeast, spices, citrussy notes with lemon. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet and only lightly bitter. Body is light and a bit weak. Okay spicy Wit, though nothing to write home about.

Аромат не сильный но приятный, очень свежий как будто, немного цветочности и травянистости с запахом трав вроде гвоздики, цвет не сильно мутный, желтый, пенка белая средняя. Вкус очень питкий, немного водянистый. На первом плане уже больше специй и трав, хотя при глотке немного зерна и пшеницы. В целом мне нравятся такие груты, травянистость у них очень особая.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Cloudy yellow brew with an slightly fruity taste and hints of coriander. An great Belgian Wit with almost the original true Hoegaarden taste.

330ml bottle. Slightly cloudy, yellow-ish, pale golden colour with average to huge, frothy, osteoporosing, minimally lacing, white head. Minimally soapy, spicy and wheaty malty aroma, hints of coriander, floral whiffs of bath salt. Taste is sweet-ish, wheaty malty, slightly tart-ish, minimally zesty, citrusy fruity and minimally spicy, hints of lemon peel, orange peel, a touch of coriander, banana undertones. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, prickly to lively carbonation. Fairly refreshing, a tad overcarbonated - OK.

Draugh, taster. @Gentse Stadsbrouwerij Gruut, Gent (Belgium). 07/09/2022 [#5.385 Global - #221 Belgium - #1 Gentse Stadsbrouwerij Gruut (My Belgian brewery #94)] Pours hazy pale yellow with a white head. Aroma: coriander, floral hops and wheat. Taste: wheat, floral hops and spiced malts. Light and smooth. Easy drinking. Next one please!
