To craft LIA FAIL our brewers selected flavour packed dark crystal and chocolate malts. This combination creates a warming malty body bursting with nutty, chocolate notes that we have balanced with spicy aromas from Cascade and Fuggles hops. It finishes full, mellow and satisfying.

Bottle, 0.5l. Deep amber pour, one finger frothy off-white head. Weak retention, short lasting head, leaving some lacing on the glass as it goes down. Nose is earthy and herbal, grassy notes, tea leaves, subtly toasted. Not bad. Light body, medium carbonation, lively. Soft mouthfeel and texture, moderately chewy, a bit fizzy. Pretty nice on the palate. Moderately bitter taste with subtle sweet notes in the background. Aroma of toasted caramel, toffee, nuts. Bready, earthy, herbal. Moderately spicy, hints of stale grass. Tea leaves, dried fruits. Short to medium lasting finish, dry. Quite decent.

Bottle, thx H! Daaaark ruby-coppery body, off white head. Dried fruity, flowery hoppiness, rosehip and caramel in the aroma. Dry earthy taste - lean rosehips and chocolate/roast, a bit of odd bitterness too. Atypical but meh.

0.5 l bottle from Vrutak Zagreb. Shared with Marko. Clear copper to red, medium frothy diminishing off-white head. Lots of toast, nuts and cocoa in the aroma. Leaves, red fruit, some dark fruit. Toasted malty profile balanced with some herbal hops. Quite rich and pleasant. Thin body, soft to moderate carbonation. Dry finish. Leaves and earth along with toast and cocoa in the aroma. Not bad, but very thin.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Amber color. Blackcurrant and apple syrup in the aroma. Salty, slight hopbitter flavor with laurel and blackcurrant. Just a hint of tartness revealing itself in the aftertaste. Velvety mouthfeel. OK.
