(Draught at the brewpub, Berlin, 22 July 2010) Dark reddish brown colour with brief, beige head. Malty, toasty nose with bread, cola and caramel. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, dark fruit and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Rather thin body, with some sweetness. Quite enjoyable.

08/03 Draught at the brewpub. It poured cloudy darker copper body with small ivory head. Simple caramel aroma, weaker. Sweetish caramel flavor with some crappy bitter cardboard tone. Medium in body with medium finish that takes from flavor only that odd cardboard bitterness, not really to similar to the one in Pilseners. Bad, boring and unbalanced dunkel, didn’t enjoy it at all!

Draft. An unclear amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has strong notes of malt as well as medium notes of straw, and light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, and caramel, as well as lighter notes of bread, leading to a dry and bitter finish.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a hazy, almost murky copper body with a small white head. Dusty, slightly caramelly light nose. Nice sweet taste with notes of chocolate and chicory, ending slightly acidic. Kinda unbalanced, slightly sweet, slightly lactic. Ok.

On tap. Hazy orangey brown with a dense, off-white head leaving laces. Roasted malt aroma - perhaps a whiff of yeast. Medium body with roasted malts and perhaps a whiff of sweet licorice. Rather subdued bitterness. 080109
