Bottle. Black body under a moderate sized, lacing beige head. Strong and nice aroma of dark, roasted malt, coffee, smoke and distinct peated whisky. Taste is sweet, smooth roasted dark malt, smoke, lots of peated whisky, coffee and some licorices and pleasant bitterness. Fine balanced body with a long lasting aftertaste similar to the main taste. Very nice and somehow very smooth in a slightly bizarre way.

Pitch black color. Unbelieveably peaty Smokey nose, like you are drinking straight Laphroaig. The mouth is super peaty, with iodine like tartness over intense roasted malt. Off dry. Super intense. Nothing subtle about this. The barrel just overwhelms and don’t love Laphroaig, so it doesn’t blow me away

Bottle at home from the famous, Biervana, Munich, 24th February 19. Pours black, thinnish in line with the low ABV. Aroma is liquorice, molasses, barrel and whiskey. Taste is barrel, mollases liquorice, whiskey, wood, damp barrel, peat and smokey, complex. Lovely barrel aged impy, amazing for the extreme low ABV

03-02-19 // tap at Markthalle 9 Berlin at the Wurst&Bier Festival. Deep black. Brown head. Roasted malts with a bit of Laphroiag smokyness in the nose. Very malt forward, coffee, chocolate. I would love some more Laphroiag aromas.

Bottle. Pours deep black. Aroma is booze, barrel, sugar, old hops, unfermented malts. Body is heavy, sweet and strong, sugars, cheesy, lowish carbonation, diabetes, low barrel. Quite good, but the barrel is rather shy.
