Schlappeseppel Pils ist ein goldhelles Bier mit einem schlanken Trunk. Der Schwerpunkt liegt nicht auf dem vollmundigen Malzgeschmack, sondern in der ausgesprochenen Betonung des Hopfen- und Bittergeschmacks. Diese Kräuter- bis zitronigen Aromen des Hopfens werden sowohl vom Gaumen als auch der Nase im Zusammenspiel erfasst.

Das Pils zeigt interessante, pilsuntypische Elemente (zumindest bei deutschen Pilsen). So ist es deutlich fruchtiger als andere Pilse, was im Mitteteil und im Nachgeschmack zeigt. Vorher ist ein angenehm würziges Aroma vorhanden, das sich süßlich und malzig in den fruchtigen Nachgeschmack bewegt. Was dem Bier fehlt ist eine herbe Note, aber es gefällt mir trotzdem recht gut. (bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a short frothy white head. Moderately sweet malty aroma with hops and hay. Malts accented taste, light to medium bodied, crispy mouthfeel, balanced hop bitter finish with a touch of cardboard.

Bottle: Clear, pale golden, thin, but stable foamy white layer; sweet-malty, grainy nose with a tinge of wet paper; moderate bitter flavour with a touch of sweetness; short, bitter, quite dry finish. An average Pils, not unpleasant............

(Bottle 50 cl) Regular, decent pilsener-color and a creamy head of the type that sticks to the glass. Aromatic, fresh and flowery. And even though the bitterness is far from absent, the sweetness is actually more distinct. Very nice pils. 020903

Re-rate from bottle. Fresh mint and grass hop aroma. Pale golden, stable whire lace, fine carbonation. Medium body with a good cwewyness, fine pearling carbonation. Nice brad hop profile: Flowery aromatics on grassy andlight citric notes. Great balance, nice drink. Old rating: 8 3 9 4 18 Powerfull hoparom with main focus on bitternes. Lightly colored, big head. Good balance. Long lingering spritzyness on tounge. Fullbodied.
