Glass. Die vrou said I’m too fat and should drink this. Thin watery gold pour. No head. Almost no aroma. Thin watery flavour. I’m put in mind of that German song cycle, I think it’s The Happy Miller, where He’s singing "Das Wasser, Das Wasser." This tasted llike water. No finish. Next time dear, you drink this, and I’ll have the Pilsener Urquell.

(Canned 340 ml in Monterrey, Mexico on September 14 2005)On restaurant "Monastrero"Managed to have it before they mixed it with the lime juice, no idea what that would be good for?Clear pale straw yellow color, white head. Not much goping on, a bit sweet and vegetable scent and taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Mainly very boring.Perhaps it did get better with the lime? Nah, mostly went strange...

From can courtesy of Butters. Very clear pale yellow body with a medium frothy white head. Sweet corn and grain aroma, fairly bland. Even more bland flavor, with light corn and somewhat watery. Light body with moderate carbonation.

Light aroma of pale malt, and mayhap a hint of corniness; a little dusty. The color is light brassy gold, and the white head left when I turned my head. Thin to medium body, light, nearly creamy, carbonation. The flavor is substantial; a bit of bread, very light bitter, a touch sweet. Indeed it is not offensive, and it surpasses most American lights. It is a light beer with full taste. Just not my taste.

12 oz. bottle. Just like in the old Michelob commercial: "Tecate makes a light?" And it’s only had 25 ratings in 6 years! Well, now it’s at Sam’s Wines in Downer Grove, in the loose bottle rack. So I can buy just one instead of a pack.
Thin corn-yellow pour, brief head. For a light, it’s got a very sugary smell, almost like a cheap Russian malt liquor. Taste is mostly corn soda, if anything. I shouldn’t rate this as low as I am, since it’s more tasteless than bad tasting.

Can - I never saw this in Mexico so that should tell us something. This is watered down beer for the gringos - no self-respecting Mexican would drink this.
