First of all : note that this is a Light Mild – a style not recognised by Rate Beer. Anyway, cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly malts with some hints of corn. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with malts, grains and biscuits. Later on there are hints of ginger, fudge and hops, leading to ba sweet finish. This is nice – not overly exciting but very drinkable.

Clear and golden with a creamy white head and some subtle biscuit notes on the nose. Sweet biscuity malt, smooth and creamy and just a little kick of bitterness in the finish (maybe a bit naughty for a mild)

Handpull cask at the Town Hall Tavern, Leeds. Light cold and clear with a full off-white head. Light aroma, not a lot there but I do get some agave syrup notes and Light caramel. Sweet taste, short of cloying with a perky hop bitterness near the finish. Full body for the ABV, soft carbonation. Nice if a bit dull. Hey, it's a sip of history.

Cask at the Leeds Arms, Scarborough. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light toffee and honeycomb. Taste is more of the same. Inoffensive.

Cask at the St Albans Beer festival 2019. A mostly clear mid golden coloured pour with a fine white head. Aroma is semi sweet, dried white grape, white raisin, pale golden malts. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, pale Victoria sponge, white grape, grains. Some raisin. Palate is semi sweet, rounded, good cask condition. Nice drop.
