The last of the true Pennine light milds. A crisp, amber coloured beer that makes a refreshing session ale. The smooth and creamy flavour makes it a popular choice close to the brewery, and increasingly in destination pubs across the country.

(Cask at Pikkulintu Puotila, 20240919)The beer poured amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had biscuits and earth. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were earth, biscuits, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was earthy, malty and bitter. A tasty malty brew with traditional hops.

First of all : note that this is a Light Mild – a style not recognised by Rate Beer. Anyway, cask at Brunswick, Derby. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a small off-white head and good lacing. The aroma is mainly malts with some hints of corn. In the mouth it is sweet and juicy with malts, grains and biscuits. Later on there are hints of ginger, fudge and hops, leading to ba sweet finish. This is nice – not overly exciting but very drinkable.

Clear and golden with a creamy white head and some subtle biscuit notes on the nose. Sweet biscuity malt, smooth and creamy and just a little kick of bitterness in the finish (maybe a bit naughty for a mild)
