5/6/2019. Cask at Hamilton Hall, London Liverpool Street. Pours clear bright gold with a creamy white head. Aroma of fruit, flowers, malt, hops and caramel. Medium plus sweetness and light to moderate bitterness. Medium body, sticky texture, very soft carbonation. Not bad, nice and fruity, but a bit too sweet to finish.

Cask @ The Royal Oak, Shrewsbury. Pours clear gold, small white head. Aroma bears a light floral sweetness. Taste presents some curious sweet marzipan notes, a touch yeasty and bready. Quite different and fruity to a standard ESB. Interesting, but massively not into its strange sweet character.

Cask @ Wetherspoon, Inverness. Appearance - Golden beer, 1 finger white head. Aroma - not much aroma, some sweet malt. Taste - Bland and watery (for 5.0% abv!), again some sweet malt, slight citrus hop, very boring. Nothing much in the palate, finish has some cereal, and slight citrus. A rather tasteless brew for the lager drinkers. The commercial description is a joke.
