Brown with minimal tan head. Very similar to the classic version. Sweet malty notes, nutty, chocolate, caramel, a bit of oak and some sherry. This version is less sweet and I appreciate that. Body is full but again, not as full as expected. Very nice.

330ml bottle bought as part of a delivery from RAD Beer and drunk at home. Orange-brown, clear, almost no head. Big boozy toffee, treacle, nuts, oak on the nose. Sweet taste, hot molasses, stone fruits, more toffee. Body is thicker, and carbonation heavier, than appearance would suggest. What a treat. And shades the original.

Аромат не слишком яркий, но при согревание очень выразительно ощущается патока и ее сладкие нотки, также немного карамели, классические для этого стиля дрожжи и в целом хлебные нотки, в целом немного похоже на ликер. Цвет как у коньяка, пены нету и следа, вообще. Вкус просто божественен. Чувствуются сначала легкие нотки дрожжей и немного белого хлеба, уже понятно что будет весьма сладко. Также карамели больше чем при запахе. При глотке очень согревает горло. Также, патока только раскрывается в конце. Она не концентрированна а очень сбалансированна. Когда пиво еще не согрелось очень ощущалось какой то сладкий пирог, причем с яблоками. В целом просто абсолютный топ, на порядок лучше чем оригинал.

Bottle at home, from HOTM online, 01/01/24. Deep chestnut to mahogany brown with a good sized light beige head that thins to spotting and edgework. Nose is stewed fruits, toffee, malt forward, dates, figs, Lotus Biscoff, light booze tunes. Taste comprises caramel, toasted brown sugars, figs, booze, sticky toffee elements, light spice, dates, liquid fruit cake mix. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a balanced kiss of alcohol. Sips easy for 14% ... a touch on the sweet side though for me to want revisit this one but decent enough none the less.
