12-08-18 // 500ml bottle at Biergarten Inselrhein. Cloudy orange. White head. Spice forward Hefeweizen. Not very good. Tastes old, maybe bad storage in this beergarden.

Keg at Bayerischer Donisl, Munchen, 07/06/18. Hazed orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is banana, clove, breads, light orange peel Taste comprises bread dough, yeast esters, banana, clove, light white peppery spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent hefe.

Bottle from Speciaalbierpakket. Wheaty and fruity aroma with banana, spicy yeast, and clove. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter. Body is medium. Very decent Weizen, but I have to admit I don't really understand the high acclaim.

0.5L bottle. Pours cloudy orange brown with a thick fluffy head. Aroma of banana, wheat, spices/herbs. Taste is sweet, banana, wheat, mild spices, citrus. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, average carb. Somewhat sweeter than I was expecting.

Thnx to SinH4 ( I think, i have so many beers coming in these days ) for the trade . Regarded a top-style example by BJCP, huray to that ! Pours dark, very cloudy blonde to amber. medium white head with medium low stability. Smell is very creamy, banana esthers ( 4VG ) milder phenolic in the back ( cloves ) . No hoparoma, no detected off-flavors. Taste is sharp, intense phenolic, as well as esthers ( contradicting the scent, the phenols are much intenser in the taste ) . very creamy body, sharp, medium ( perhaps a touch higher than medium) carbo. Ends very creamy, esthers, wheat, Very balanced troughout the whole experience. Tad bitter. not bad at all !

Creamy beige head left a good cover on a murky light brown, still body - Looks tremendous! Sweet, yeast, wheat & malt aroma. Medium bodied & super smooth with a tingle on the back. Big fruity tastes of sweet grape, summer berries, peach, banana & vanilla with a yeasty backbone.
