Bottle coming from strumpf, Getränkmarkt, Ingelheim, best before 02/24, opening it yesterday, after an afternoon with the children in Corsier. Helles brewed on the German way, malty, bready, mineral, a bit sweet and metalic, classical bitterness, 11.05.24

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines. Fuck knows if this is the right beer. Definitely different label (see pic). Nothing else comes up though and it’s not a new beer because there’s a million check ins on UT. Anyway. Grassy herbal bit mineraly on top of yeasty bread. Light and clean. Good bitter finish.

Honey, barley malt, and grass aroma. Pale yellow with small head. Mildly sweet honey, barley malt and mildly bitter grass flavor. Good body.

Bottle from House of Trembling Madness. Pours clear gold with small white head which recedes to a swirl. Grainy aroma with hints of citrus and hay - nice if a little subdued. Taste of grains, light corn, honey, grass, citrus, overbaked biscuit. Light+ bodied, prickly carbonation which helps bring the flavour out. It grew on me a lot. An interesting Helles - not perfect but there is more going on here than I thought at first.

Bottle online from The Trembling Madness. Pours a clear light golden colour with a medium sized foamy white head. Aromas of sweet grains, hay, white bread, honey and lemon. Taste has more of the same notes, sweet grains, hay, honey and lemon, some added floral notes and toasty bread. Also some notes of tea and hops coming through on the lingering finish. Thinnish body, average carbonation and smooth oily mouthfeel. Very nice beer. Lots of flavour for what is essential a lager. Will definitely have this again. This beer seems to be very underrated on here

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours totally clear yellow, lightly effervescent, with a foamy, pure white head. Lightly sweet, some simple white bite as, cereal, pale biscuits, nips of bitter straw. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Simple finish.
