Bottled. Pale golden with a lasting white head. Lemon and gras in the aroma. Thin watery body with a flavor dominated by floral and lemony hops. Long, quite bitter finish. (060313)

Herrlich. A pretty nice pils, I was grateful it wasn’t skunked. Nice hop aroma, grassy, slightly citric, cobwebs, plus a touch of malt like dry toast. Flavor is clean and well balanced with a medium, crisp bitter finish. Pale gold, almost straw, with a nice fluffy head. A very easy drinking pilsner with character, and a very good match with a variety of foods. Possibly also a good beer to share with your friends who aren’t yet into the more robust styles.

Bottle: Floral hoppy nose, big fluffy head, lasting; pale golden coloured, distinctive traces of sweet maltiness; starts bitter-sweet, moderate bitter-sweet flavour, becoming quite dry, spicy and hoppy towards the end; light bodied, but not watery at all, a bit spicier than the average german Pilseners and quite well balanced.....

(Sampled bottle):
Lovely hoppy aroma (Saazer and Hallertau?), moderate head, distinct bitterness but not unpleasant (and I'm not a hardcore hophead), very refeshing. I'm sure it's even better on tap. A decent pils!

Light gold; grassy, biscuity nose w/lemon, leather and blackcurrant; lean, spritzy body; somewhat thick noble hops against a light lemon note. Rooty bitterness. Finishes bitter, but with a surprising hit of sweet malt.
