Total Eclipse is a creamy full bodied Jaffa Cake Milk Stout. We added cacao shells from Luísa’s Vegan Chocolates, our awesome neighbours, and mandarin orange to create a luxurious zingy treat.

Can picked up from Drankgigant webshop Vlissingen Netherlands and consumed at home Saturday 28th October 2023, listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music. We had a big joint cookathon tonight with Scott and Mand', Celeriac Schnitzel, Pistachio and Feta Dip, Roasted Red Pepper Chill Dip with homemade Pitta Bread and Zatar Crumbed Halloumi and now about to have a Toblerone Ice Cream for dessert. Pours black with a large tan head, what on earth is wrong with this, it's is absolutely appalling, the aroma is chemically the taste is seriously like drinking washing up liquid, it's is absolutely rank, possibly one of the worst beers that I have ever had the misfortune to try. Excuse my language but this is fuckin' dreadful, I am incensed that probably paid €6 or €7 a can for this.

Keg at CBJ, 13/07/23. Black with a tan cap that thins to a swirl. Nose is toffee, chocolate, nutty, light soapy tones. Taste comprises mellow roast, light menthol angle, cacao nibs, dark malts, spice, charr, toffee. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Passable ... a touch soapy and getting no jaffa cake or orange elements at all.

Keg at Craft Beer Junction. Semi opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Thin dark malts. Modest choc. Odd perfumey orange, getting towards soapy. Orange oil. Light crispy finish. Nah, doesn't work at all.

18/8/2020. Draught at the Arcade Tavern, Ipswich. Pours black with a small creamy beige head. Interesting aroma but not the immediate wow I was expecting. It didn’t bring out the orange, just the Jaffa cake biscuit/sponge base, with moderate dark chocolate, touch of caramel and light roasting. Moderate sweetness, with quite heavy bitter orange which was a touch harsh. Full body, and a rich thick texture. Good but not totally convinced this one worked by the end of the half.

440ml can. Jet black colour with huge, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, beige to tan head. Dry cocoa aroma, notes of dark chocolate, a touch of mandarine, whiffs of coffee. Taste is sweet-ish and tart-ish citrusy fruity, dry chocolately, notes of mandarine, cocoa, hints of dark chocolate, lemon juice; lingering, minimally cloying finish. Well controlled sweetness, nice fruit acidic and citric tartness.

Tap@Mikkeller Vik, Copenhagen (12/05/2019) - black pour a thin ringed beige head. Dark sweet milky chocolate with accents of orange running through, medium body, sweet malty close. Definitely has that jaffa cake vibe in the taste and aroma, interesting.
