2 yuan for a 330ml not sure if it is this or not, mine was made in China but did have Motueka written on the side... can. It pours a light gold with a decent head and some soapy looking lacing. The nose is grainy & mentholated rub... Urgh. Thin bodied with cardboard, menthol, sugar and... Nothing terribly beer like. Yuck. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lounge beer, at the Air New Zealand business class lounge at LAX. Bottle. Crystal clear golden yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of peppery cardboard. Taste is bitter and papery. An inauspicious start to my NZ trip. At least it was free.

This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a decent looking clear to somewhat light hazy yellow color with a decent carbonation seen rising a rocky foamy two finger white head.
The smell had mainly a grassy/hay-like qualities running over top of a light skunkiness (yes, I know I have a green bottle, its okay, I shall proceed).
The taste was grassy and hay-like again and added a light sweet corn-like feature to it that was okay but not great. The aftertaste was kinda harsh and assaulting a bit through the skunky yet sweet corn-like feature.
On the palate, this one sat fairly light and had a decent sessionable quality about it.
Overall, I say this was a decent pale lager, its nothing to go bonkers about but if anything I think I’d try this again on tap.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig, leicht süß. Geschmack wässrig, leicht malzig getreidig, minimal herb.

Pours a clean golden color and topping it is about two finger of white head which dissipates quite quickly. There is the familiar mild hoppy aroma with perhaps some grains complementing it. The taste is light, crisp. Some initial (mils) sweetness is followed by a nicely balanced body with slightly bitter finish. Nothing special about this one, just your typical refreshing and drinkable lager.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - amber, slight haze, some head. Nose - green beans and pale malt (cornflakes) Taste - more of the green vegetables, more of the breakfast cereal. Palate - light body but decent balance, perhaps almost as clean as the ’Pure’. Overall - it’s another good lager. I like it.

Bouteille 330ml. (2005)

Bottle. Pours piss yellow with a medium white head that dissipates quickly with decent lacing. Strong urine aroma when freshly opened, fading to grain, grass. Flavor is lightly sweet and grainy, with a bit of refreshing bitterness on the finish and a slight metal far finish.

Aroma has a musky tone, flavor has a little snap to it. Nice pillowy head on this beer. I’m out of season on this one, it would be perfect on a hot summer’s day.
