Edeka-Bier Nr. 3. - Flasche (50 cl; 0,89 €). - Goldgelb, klar. - Beginnt vielversprechend: die Nase erinnert mit leichten tropischen Früchte entfernt an ein IPA. - Auch im Antrunk milde Anklänge von tropischer Frucht, aber was danach kommt, fällt leider deutlich ab: etwas blasses helles Malz und ein kräftig hopfenbitterer aber wenig komplexer Abgang. Frisch rezent. Längerer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Die Nase ist tatsächlich das Beste an diesem Bier, der Rest fällt merklich ab, ist aber durchaus trinkbar. In gewisser Weise typisch für Berlin: große Klappe und wenig dahinter ... Dazu paßt auch, daß das sog. „unabhängige Hauptstadtpils“ in Wirklichkeit in Chemnitz gebraut wird - die Berliner beschränken sich auf die Vermarktung. Da lobe ich mir doch die vielen neu entstandenen Berliner Kleinbrauereien, die tatsächlich selber brauen und nicht nur Marketing betreiben. Die Ergebnisse sprechen in fast allen Fällen für sich und stellen ein gehobenes Supermarktbier wie das Bären-Bräu weit in den Schatten.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein klares goldgelbes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch hopfig, getreidig, grasig. Geschmack hopfig, grasig, lang anhaltende Bitterkeit.

Bottle. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

Bottle 500ml.ABV: 4.9%. Clear medium yellow colour with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, hay, moderate hoppy, grass.
