The West Coast IPA is a modern classic that changed perceptions of what beer could be, and paved the way for today's craft beer scene. Our own approach is informed by experiences working with trailblazing brewers and diving deep into their celebrated beers, so this delivers the hallmark layered bitterness and a clean, dry, resinous finish alongside punchy flavours provided by a blend of modern and classic hop varietals.

Can online from The Cloudwater Brewery. Pours a cloudy golden/yellow colour with a medium thick creamy white head. Aromas of citrus fruits, orange, lemon, grapefruit, peach, melon and pine. Taste has the same notes again with lots of citrus pith and a big grassy hop bitterness on the finish. Medium body with lively carbonation on the palate. Maybe a tad too severe on the bitterness for me personally but still a nice beer and fresh.

Tap at Beergeek. Moderate body, high carbonation. Hops centered. Light candyish maltiness, med-high bitterness, classic resinous zesty citrusy American hops aromatics. Tasty, very good.

Can at home from CW online store. Pours hazy orange gold with a decent white cap. Aroma is apricot, marmalade, piney hop and orange. Taste is apricot, orange up front, piney hop leads to a dry bitter finish with resin adding more bitterness. Smooth. Decent stuff.
