Cask-conditioned at the Phoenix, York 11/5/2019. Pale gold in colour, with a tight, white, head. Light spicy notes with a touch of citrus fruit, grainy malts, leading to a moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Bottle at home. I should have read the label, but being a collector I just saw a new beer in Morrisons and bought it. Its gluten free and made from maize, which is something I am not altogether keen on in my beer. A very anaemic colour in the tankard and as expected it was dominated by the maize. It reminded my of the Keo lager I had in Cyprus last summer and I really didn't like that. This was not enjoyable.

Bottle from Beers Of Europe. Appearance - pale golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - mainly grainy. Some citrus if you seek it out. Taste - more citrus and grain. Some honey and generally a bit sweeter than expected. Palate - light bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a finish that could be fresher, especially considering the style. Overall - it’s better than no beer.
