Wold Top Against The Grain has been declared the most beer like of all gluten free and low gluten free beers in taste tests. Made from lager malt, maize, hops and yeast, it is a premium full flavoured bitter beer with a good creamy head, refreshing bitterness and citrus aftertaste.

cask at NWAF ... golden amber ... sweet lemon nose ... sweet ruits ... light fruits ... ok .. and good for a gluton free scoring higher for that reason

50 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citrusy and slight peachy. Peachy and fruity flavoured. Slight tea like and mild peachy. Mild citrusy and bitter into a medium dry finish. Nice and easy. Crisp and hoppy.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours a cloudy golden with a white head leaving some lacework. Aroma is a little sweet grainy with a whiff of citrus. Light body, some grapefruit dominates leaving a tannin-like astringency, this really is bitter - wauw. But for a gluten free beer this is actually drinkable, probably the best of its kind. 230110

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 09, Great British Beer Festival, Earls Court Exhibition Centre, London, England.Clear medium yellow orange color with a small to average, fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, chlorine, fruity, light hoppy, citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, chlorine. Body is medium to light, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. [20090804]

Cask@GBBF. Golden color, small white head. Lemony, cut grass, fresh wood aroma. Cut grass, lemony flavor. Some sweetness in the finish before grassy hoppy aftertaste. Boring, although clean.

Bottle. Pours a very pale yellow color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma with some citrus hints. Fruity malty grainy watery flavor with some hints of citrus. Has a fruity malty grainy finish.

Cask at GBBF08. Weak fruity aroma. Hazy golden colour. Small white head. Fruity flavour, slightly sweet. A little grassy hops. Was this gluten free? Does not taste it. OK hoppy but still slightly boring. By far the best gluten free beer I have had.

Cask@GBBF2008. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is fruits, nectar, wood and some grass. Flavour is fruits, nectary, mild wood and yeast. Rather dry and bitter grassy finish.
