Our first, flagship and still our best-selling bitter. Wold Top Bitter is a light amber coloured, crisp clean aromatic session bitter. Home grown Barley malt and Northdown hops give an unusually full flavour and a long hoppy finish for its abv.

Old rating from 17-08-15 - 500ml bottle, pours a amber colour with a frothy head. Malty aromas with hints of caramel. Tastes of bitterness, with a hoppy flavour, with notes of caramel. Feel is of medium carbonation. Overall a nice drop, one I'd have again.

Cask @ The New Lancaster, Scarborough. Aroma of lemons, caramel and pine. Taste of biscuits, grass, caramel, pine, malts and lemons. Moderate to strong bitterness. Low carbonation. Very nice and helps to catch a break from all the spookiness outside.

Bottle from Vine & Grain. Appearance - deep amber to autumnal red. Creamy off-white head. Nose - brown bread, red fruits and light caramel. Taste - toffee and caramel and bready again. Palate - close to medium bodied, creamy texture. Quite sweet on the finish. Overall - decent. Nose better than taste.
