Our first, flagship and still our best-selling bitter. Wold Top Bitter is a light amber coloured, crisp clean aromatic session bitter. Home grown Barley malt and Northdown hops give an unusually full flavour and a long hoppy finish for its abv.

Light amber colour, transparent. Thin white head recedes quite quickly but still leaves some lacing. Aroma has a caramel malt base and a nice, delicate fruitiness (red fruits). Taste follows the aroma, again with a light caramel malt base and pleasant fruitiness. Moderate sweetness and bitterness, finish is slightly on the bitter side (with a tea-like note). Light body, light crispness, easy, maybe a tad too empty. Ok overall

500 ml bottle, from Matkroken Stokka. BBE 07/14. ABV is 3.7%. Copper colour, moderate white head. Aroma of grain, caramel and dust. Light bodied as expected. The medium dry flavour has first a slight fruitiness which makes the beer quite drinkable, followed by some grainy notes and a hint of toffee. Tolerable hops in the finish. Not too bad.
