Strong and well hopped for the voyage sending IPA from the Wolds to the World. Interestingly brewed with a pale Wold grown malt base, a triple hop blend and Maize for the head retention.

Spotty off white head on a translucent amber body. Fruity aroma. Medium bodied, soft with a tingle on the back. Well balanced, fruity, bitter, confectionery & a malt backbone with a tangy finish. Solid.

Bottle from Morrisons – or maybe Tesco ! Fresh hops with a hint of citrus in the nose of this one. Pours a golden yellow with a large frothy white head. Medium carbonation with good lacing. Flavour has corn, malt and lemon with a tocuh of grapefruit. Fruitiness becomes more pronounced in the finish., as does the alcohol. A bit light coloured for a traditional IPA, but certainly hoppy enough. A very nice beer indeed – I’m getting to like IPAs in my old age !

22/10/2018. Bottle from the Chuckling Cheese Company, Skegness. Pours golden with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of fruit, flowers, grass, hops, malt, caramel, biscuit, and light hints of herb and spice. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Increasing bitterness to finish with light peppery and grainy notes. Decent brew, very drinkable.
