For years, rumors have circled that deep in the woods on Mount St. Helens lives the fabled Batsquatch. While there are many tales of Batsquatch, they are all a bit hazy on the details, which makes the truth such a juicy mystery. So what better way to honor the elusive legend than with a hazy IPA? Perfect for camping and potentially making a new friend. This juicy, cloudy IPA features intense tropical flavors and aromas.

Can pour into nonic pint glass. Appearance is deeply hazy orange/light brown with decent sparkle at the edges of the glass, finger width, creamy off-white foamy head with poor retention and light, soapy lacing. Aroma is pineapple, tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, background malt. Taste is tropical fruit, mango, orange julius, late biscuit. Palate is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, silky, fairly watery texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, aroma and taste fit right in with the style. Appearance is a little less murky/opaque than classic NEIPA's and the palate is less dense but for some reason I don't seem to mind. Quite good all around.

Can from Homebrewstuff. Hazy pour with small, lasting creamy head. Aroma is tropical, citrus fruity. Taste too. Nothing out of the ordinary for this now ubiquitous style, but solid all the way through.

On tap at Fakin Zagreb. Murky orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head, tropical fruits in the nose. Moderate malty, tropical fruity, juicy citrusy, discreet touch of alcohol and mild spicy finish. Very good one.

Can at the Dogstep, Bangkok. Poured a hazy orange amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, orange citrus hop. The flavour is moderate sweet, light bitter with a fresh, crisp, malt, citrus fruit, light woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average to soft carbonation. Super fruity and fresh. Probably needs a little more bitterness and carbonation.
