The nice part about the Luchador wardrobe is the versatility. Comfortable, breathable, devastating in the ring, and ruthlessly efficient when the occasion calls for beach volleyball. This variation of our Mexican-Style Chocolate Stout adds Coconut into the mix for a smooth and sweet seasonal twist alongside the classic roasted malt and chocolate flavors that define our Sombrero series.

Super deep and dark brown coloured body with a massive six to seven centimetre tall thick, microfoamed and deep dark brown head that does not seem to fade at all, above the 80 percent opaque body. Aroma of anise, rich roasted malt, lactose, coffee, earth, grain, cream and tons of toasted coconut - very nice and super strong in the nose. Medium to Full-bodied; Very strong anise, licorice and pungent maltiness from oatmeal and grains really comes through at first with a good deal of alcohol and bitterness here, with a deep coconutty finish along with bunches of anise and especially oatmeal. Aftertaste is pungent with a nice sweetness, but the coconut, anise ,licorice and oatmeal notes are by far the strongest here, with a good finish. Overall, a nice stout that itself borders on Imperial Status due to the strong coconut flavours, deep roasty oatmeal malt notes and especially the lactosey, sweet but deep pungency at the end. Overall, perhaps the best beer of this Christmas Twelve Pack Sampler - glad to save it to the end, this tastes like an Imperial Stout, but while light enough (it still TASTES like over 7 per cent ABV though) to drink more than one of, somehow! I sampled this twelve ounce can, purchased from Costco in Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia on 23-December-2023 for US$9,99/twelve pack, with a 'best by' date of 31-January-2024! and sampled at my house here in Washington on 20-February-2023.

Not bad; coconut and chocolate are prominent without being overbearing, although I’m finding no notes of pepper. Vanilla on the finish. Easy-drinking if a bit wimpy on the heat.

Pours a thin black with a thick creme-colored head. Aroma of soft coconut chips. Taste has heavy nutty notes, caramel, toffee. Palate has more toasted coconut, some burnt wood notes. Good.

Can from the 12 beers of Christmas Pack seny by Clown Shoes. Pours dark brown with a fizzy, yet thick and persistent head. The smell is first a note of light coconut water, but balanced by a little vanilla. Coffee only appears in the sip, where it's matched up now with a slightly oilier coconut flavor. I'm still not big on coconut as a beer adjunct, but this one keeps the additions in balance.

Poured an almost pitch black color with a medium sized head. Aroma was roasted malts, light bitterness. I got a lot of chocolate, coconut. Flavor was similar, chocolate, coconut. Interesting.
