An American style Pale Ale, using only Washington state grown hops. The high note, grapefruit classic aroma leaves a clean palate with subtle fresh berry after-tones and memories of Summer.

500ml bottle from the brewery. BBE 05/21. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and plenty of bubbles. The aroma is grainy malt, buttery yeast, light citrus, boiled sweets, floral hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a fresh, crisp, malt, juicy citrus, light dry pepper spice, floral hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

Cask at the brewery tap. Pours amber with minimal head. Aroma of hops, flowers, light tropical and citrus fruits, caramel and grass. Light sweetness, medium to heavy bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, average to soft carbonation. First of the brewers 'progressive' ales. Decent effort.
