Canned(500ml). -Clear golden coloured, small white head, cardboard nose. Weak malty, faint hoppy and buttery with strong cardboard presence. Caramelish cardboard finish. This beer is huge disgrace for Czech beer legacy and one of the worst Czech beers I’ve tried. Shame on you Nymburk!!!

Bottle: Golden, lazy carbonation, smaller persistent white head, light to moderate bready nose with a very shy tinge of hops; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light bodied, but not watery, soft MF; lingering, slightly aromatc hoppy finish. Not bad for a beer of 3.5%.......
Earlier Rating: 10/19/2008 Total Score: 2.3
Bottle (as Výčepni Pivo; purchased at the Pivovar): Golden, lazy carbonation; nose is mineral water with a sweet pale-malty background and some cardboard underneath, small white foamy layer; light sweet-bitter flavour, very light bodied; watery finish with the faintest tinge of hops in the aftertaste. Watery, but drinkable.............

(Bottle) Pale golden colour with brief, frothy, white head. Malty, grassy nose with toffee, bread and grassy hops. Malty, grassy taste with toffee, white bread, hay and grassy hops in a short finish. Thin body, balanced malty sweetness. Tasty but too thin 3,5% lager.

Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of straw, but also light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with light notes of metal. And the body is thin.

First ratingPurchased in a small convinient store in Stockholm. The 50 cl bottle is marked "Gold Bohemia Beer 3.5" but in small font on the bottom of the label it sais "Min 2.8% Alc" which I assume is correct. Also labeled to be from Nymburk Brewery. Clear golden color, big white head. Stale sweet unpleasant scent, my first comment was actually something like "uew" and I quickly withdrew my nose from the glass... Taste is ecen worse! Old stale terrible flat thin faintly sweet flavor. I guess this one will go down the drain (it did). Pretty much no bitterness. Very thin body. All in all, the beer looks good, but the rest is pretty much total crap. I guess it’s oxidiced, UV-damaged extreme or something, they can’t sell this beer like this and think people will actually ever buy it again...1/3/1/1/2=0.8RerateFound a 50 cl bottle at ICA in Söderbärke and felt I had to try it again and see if it was as horrible as the first timeMarked 2.8% and also 3.5 without % - confusedBB 040409On December 13, 2008Almost clear pale straw yellow color with small particles (alarms going off). Small white head. Corn, sweet, applesauce, rotten hay scent. Thin, dry, metallic, apple peel, bitter taste. Thin mouthfeel, low bitterness. Quite pointless, though my first rating was probably of an infected bottle. However, this is bad enough that I won’t ever try it in Sweden again, hopefully...2/1/2/2/3=1.0

Canned. Pale golden. Some pleasant oily buttescotch in the aroma, alongside with asome unpleasant apple character. Light-medium bodied with fairly soft mouthfeel and some grassy bitterness.
