Many thanks to kevnic2008 for sharing this bottle! Malty and not too sweetish beginning. Fresh, hints of roast, burned caramel and a malty-sweetish body, that is not too overwhelming. Nice smooth and bitter aftertaste, fresh and dark at the same time. Nice deep, easy to drink, fresh and viscous. Nice smooth malty bitterness in the aftertatse. Great!

Bottled. A hazy red beer with a lazing orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt, caramel, over ripe fruits, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, spices, alcohol, bread, and berries, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Bottle 100 cl. Courtesy of fiulijn. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. Sweet caramel in the nose but the very dusty hops dominate. Solid body, roast, caramel, ashes, some sweetness but the dusty hops prevail. But in general and not too boozy alcohol. 250311

2011-03-29, draught at the bräuhaus, 6-5-8-4-15=38
Cloudy red-dark amber color; creamy head. Mild malt aroma. Very good malt and caramel flavor, quite sweet; good body strength; there are traces of dust and very light of roasted malt; good bitterness level, well integrated with the rest, giving great balance. A bit grassy/earthy too.
Good but less than just last week (it has been available on tap for 3 weeks as of now).

2011-03-25, growler bottle from the brauhaus, 6-4-7-3-14=34
Cloudy dark amber color; medium sized head. The aroma is too dusty, covering any hops, and allowing only to a nutty caramel to appear, and a lot of cereals. The flavor is also dominated by cereals, dust and caramel; but there is also some malt and enough residual sweetness; the bitterness is quite high; very nutty. By far deteriorated, compared to the fresh one on draught.

2011-03-22, draught at the brauhaus, 8-5-8-3-16=40
Cloudy dark amber color; generous compact head. Excellent aroma of malt and delicate noble hops. The body is fairly well structured; good malt flavor, with quite a share of sweetness; the bitterness is very strong, in the end maybe even too much for this kind of beer; there is a nutty character, and some final roasted malt too, and cereals.
The finish is a bit rough, but overall it’s a very good beer.
