Ride with us into juicy carnage. Brett funk unites with sour cherry to lead the charge. Subtle notes of hazelnut bring up the rear and fade to malty nuttiness. And a hint of whisky
wins the day.

Bottle at home. Pours deep burgundy with a quickly disappearing head. Nose is lightly acetic sourness, fruity tartness, light nuts and sweet booze in a nice harmony. Taste is tart fruity upfront, cherries appear first, then come a sharp, lightly acetic sourness, some faint nuts again and in the finish a warming boozy touch also appears to round out sourness a bit. Closes with a long lasting sour finish, this time it’s the cherries again, has medium body and soft carbonation. The aroma is truly lovely here, but in the taste I would’ve liked more of that boozy whisky touch cause without it it was borderline too sour for me. A tasty and fun brew nevertheless.

Reddish brown pour with a very small white head. Aromas of (sour) cherries, berries, some wood and grapes/red wine. Taste is chocolate, sour cherries, bit of red wine. Not much whisky, though - still a decent beer.

Bottle. Red/dark brown with no head. Aroma of cherries, vinegar, nuts and wood. Taste of cherries, hazelnuts, wood, red wine and chocolate cake. Tart and sour. Low bitterness. Medium carbonation. Not that much of a whisky presence but overall it’s nicely balanced and pretty interesting. This is fine.

Bottled. Copper colour, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, tart wood and some red wine and chocolate tones. Flavour has some nice sweetness with a very acidic sharp edge as well as some chocolate, mild hazelnuts and some red wine elements. Smooth, good sipper.

On tap at Brewdog Birmingham, pours a deep dark cherry brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is full of intense brett funk, intense wood, and subdued tart cherries. Flavour is not landing right — there's lots of Worcestershire sauce, followed sour cherries, wood, and funk. The balance and integration aren't great. Sour, acetic and harsh. Not so good.
