A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice mix of passion fruit, light malt, fruity esters, light mineral notes. In mouth, a nice sweet tart mix of passion fruit, light acidity, light mineral notes, refreshing and surprising... My first vietnamese micro... On tap at Tap Ale Project.

Tap at the Ho Chi Minh brewpub. The ABV seems to vary wildly for this beer and the one I sampled was just 4%. Poured a crystal clear straw colour with a thin white head. The aroma is big zesty passion fruit. The flavour is light acid citrus light sweet with a light, slightly watery crisp lemon citrus palate. Light bodied with average carbonation. Stands out from the crowd for sure. Won’t be to everyone’s taste but it’s light and really refreshing. I’d order a pint.... I think!

Passion fruit Wheat Ale 6% on tap at their HCMC taproom. Clear gold with a thick foamy white head and a fantastic passion fruit, prickly pear & light wheat aroma. A lively effervescent carbonation and a dry finish. Great dry finish, passion fruit & wheat crackers. Deliciously fruity. Great use of a fruit that’s often overpowered.
