A dark brown beer, a head is big and beige. Aroma has breadyness, some sweetness of syrup, hint of vegetables. Taste has balanced sweetness with syrup, breadyness, some roastiness. Medium bodied, smooth carbonation, and also easy to drink.

Bottled 500ml (Alko Pori Keskusta)
Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Rye bread, caramel and light alcohol in the nose. Light to medium-bodied, quite active carbonation. Rye bread, caramel, aspartame. Quite sweet dunkel and feels industrial = typical Latvian.

(Keg at Beer House No 1, 20170105) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had toasted malts and molasses. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, molasses, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was toasty, malty and bitter. A nice dunkel.

50cl from Rimi Hypermarket in Jelgava. Pours clear dark mahogany with a modest, beige head. Malty and bready aroma with caramel, dark fruits and some slightly earthy notes. Sweet and kvass-like with not much bitterness to offer. Fairly drinkable, but way to sweet for my taste.

Bottle @ hotelroom, Liepaja, Latvia. Pours dark amber with a offwhite head. Aroma of malt, light caramel, wet wood, berries, light tartness. Flavor is light sweet, light tart, malt, caramel, ryebread, wet wood, oak, berries, redwine notes. Medium body, soft carbonation, light acidic finish. Dunno if intended, but this reminds me of a thin Belgian sour red/brown. Not bad. 141015

Clear dark brown, tall beige head of small bubbles. Later a creamy film, staying some minutes. Nose of sweetish & sourish roasted malt, dry fruit. Medium body. Thin to oily texture. Light sweet malty taste, smooth pleasant bitterness. Pretty decent.
