Old rating from 2011 - Bottle found in a small convenience store in Rome & brought back to Jersey. An enjoyable Marzen beer.

Medicine-like bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy amber colored brew with an nice fruity bitter taste. Hints of caramel and slightly Bambergian smokiness. Classy beer label and typical Italian, lets brew an Oktoberfest, but give it something Italian and something from Bamberg.

12 oz. bottle. Best before January of 2018. Pours a pale amber hue with a cream-colored head which is fleeting. Aroma of malt, caramel, brown bread. Taste is caramel, bread, malt, nuts. Bland but drinkable.

Alive bottle! Fruity nose, spices, interesting hops. Cloudy orange, white foam. Medium light, mellow mouthfeel. Hayish body, smoky notes, spices, lightly lightstruck. Minerally and herbal finish.

330 ml bottle, from Vinmonopolet, as Birra Roma, lotto 411. B B date 09 2013. ABV is 5.5%. Cloudy amber to reddish brown colour, with floaties in the glass. Moderate off-white head. The aroma is a bit unfresh, but not really unpleasant. Malty with notes of caramel, molasses, dark dried fruits, nuts and wood. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, malty with hints of caramel, a little fruit, slightly woody. Very moderate hops. Nice enough to drink, but probably not something I will buy again.
