Woof. Authentic Czech pils does not mean good Czech pils. Notes of sweet corn, bread, apple, and yeast, with a floral-mineral bitterness and a watery, dry fade. The components are there, but everything seems out of whack: the fruitiness is too pronounced, the bitterness too medicinal, the crispness too fleeting. Rough stuff.

Pours clear amber with a large lasting head.Nose shows grassy, skunky hops and bready malt.Flavours include bready malt, soft grassy hops, faint vegetal notes and an unchecked light sweetness. Refreshing though.

Can. Dark golden, clear, slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: malt, candies, slightly sulphurous and herbaceous hops. Malty taste, candies, cookies and noticeable hop bitterness, herbaceous, so-so.

(Can) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty nose with bread, grain, herbal hops, hay, white bread, honey and hints of apricots. Malty taste with notes of white bread, honey, citrus, hints of butterscotch and a mild herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Hardly exceptional, but clean and well made. Quite enjoyable.
